The Colonies of Benevolence are going for a nomination as world heritage!
In the summer of 2018, it will be announced whether the seven Colonies will be able call themselves UNESCO World Heritage. This would be exactly 200 years after the founding of the Society of Benevolence. And 25 years after the abolition of the vagrancy law in Belgium.
